Abstract:
The collection primarily contains correspondence and departmental and executive committee minutes of the department chairperson, mostly from the years Glenn K. Riddle served as chair (1956-1970). The correspondence files mainly concern the justification of the masters degree program. The departmental and executive committee minutes document department programming, budgeting, staffing, and proposals for masters and Ph.D. programs. The collection also contains an evaluation of department and classroom space, and an audit of the masters program conducted in 1973.
