Also minimal records dating back to 1896 when some courses already were being offered in Milwaukee by the University of Wisconsin and some records after the reorganization into the mid-1980s. This collection's records are most complete from the 1940s through the early 1970s.

The records include the extension's annual reports from 1920 to 1978 with gaps from 1946-1956 and 1964-1977. Other significant extension records include bulletins and catalogs, publications, class schedules (1931-1959), commencement records, various committee minutes and correspondence, enrollment reports and statistics (1920-1956), faculty meeting minutes and directories, scrapbooks (1929-1956), various subject files and some student organization records. Correspondence and subject files from the extension departments of commerce, education, nursing and social work are also included.
