The bulk of the collection documents the joint Columbia Hospital School of Nursing/UWM teaching project which the associate dean administered. The project allowed nursing students to take classes at UWM while still enrolled in Columbia's nursing program. The records document the contract between UWM and Columbia Hospital, admissions criteria, course equivalencies, correspondence between students and faculty, prerequisites for science courses, and recruitment drive activities. The remainder of the collection documents the Shorewood High School Project, a joint program of the UWM Mathematics Department and Shorewood High School, and administered by the associate dean. The project taught university level mathematics courses at the high school level. The records document the budget, payroll, fees, class enrollment, grade curve, joint contract, faculty correspondence, and procedures required to enroll in the program.
