Abstract:
Records containing correspondence, minutes, and miscellany. The correspondence file (1956-1976) contains correspondence between the department chair and the dean of the College of Letters & Science, largely documenting course and curriculum developments. A large share of the correspondence and related proposals found in the file concern the development of an undergraduate major in Greek. Other correspondence documents the budget and staffing. Also included in the collection are miscellaneous department and executive committee minutes.
