The Finseth materials were given to Robert Andresen on September 12, 1991 by Finseth's son
Alverve. Andresen sorted the collection and wrote an inventory the sound recordings.
Andresen donated his collection of regional ethnic music, including the Finseth materials,
to the Mills Music Library. The collection was transferred to the library June 1995.
