This collection contains contracts and agreements between the Milwaukee Road and
various vendors. The contracts involve land purchases, sales, and leases; trackage
rights with other railroads; construction and maintenance of various structures; and
other miscellaneous permissions. There are also contracts related to locomotives and
cars of the Milwaukee Road. These include the purchase of the cars and locomotives,
as well as for related equipment. Both series contain correspondence, drawings,
photographs, contracts and other legal documents.
