This collection contains the records of the Milwaukee Road Public Relations
Department and contains an extensive amount of Milwaukee Road history. There are
seven boxes of historical materials that appear to have been collected by Jim
Scribbins, a longtime employee of the Milwaukee Road. Additionally, there are five
boxes of information about a proposed merger with the Chicago & North Western
Railway. Talks between the two organizations were ongoing during the 1960s, but a
deal was never finalized. The collection also contains brochures, newspaper
articles, press releases and publications.
