Suzanne Breier graduated from Pulaski High School in 1961 and graduated with a
bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh in 1966. Before becoming
Milwaukee’s 14th District Alderwoman, she was an elementary school teacher in South
Milwaukee for 25 years. While she never previously ran for an elected office, her
last name was familiar in Milwaukee. Her father was Chief of Police for the
Milwaukee Police Department for 20 years (1964-1984). After being re-elected 3 times
she decided not to run again and retired from the Common Council at the end of her
term in 2004.
