Robert Puente was a Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) Officer for 27 years prior to
his aldermanic terms. He was a captain and district commander during his MPD tenure.
Puente earned a B.A. in criminal justice from Mount Senario College in Ladysmith,
Wisconsin. He was a graduate of the FBI National Academy and of the Police &
Staff Command Program at Northwestern University. He lost reelection in 2016 to
Chantia Lewis.
