Biography/History

Mayor Henry W. Maier and the Common Council created the Milwaukee American Revolution Bicentennial Commission (MARBC) to prepare for Milwaukee’s celebration of the Bicentennial and American national independence. The Commission operated between 1973 and 1976. Among the Commission’s representatives were Barbara Ulichny – Administrator, Cynthia Kukor – Chairperson, Rick Freiberg – Administrative Assistant, and Jess Brownell – Public Relations.
