Abstract:
Dale and Betty Kendrick owned and operated the Behind The Brewery Gallery at 1026 South Front St. in La Crosse, Wisconsin, from 1971-2009. The Gallery supported local artists who committed to completing masters degrees in art or art education, and sponsored art students through art awards or interest grants in conjunction with the UW-La Crosse Annual All-Student Art Show. The Gallery was put on the market in 2011. Materials in this collection have been arranged chronologically and include exhibition cards, event invitations, photos, and correspondence related to the Gallery. In the last binder are reminiscences of former students and artists of the Gallery.
