Abstract:
Common Council resolutions & reports relating to the Council's Judiciary committee (sometimes referred to as the Committee on Judiciary & City Attorney), 1856-1932. The materials are arranged chronologically. There isn't any further indexing to this collection at this time other than what the City Clerk has on index cards. Today the committee is called Judiciary & Administration. Examples of legal matters the Committee on Judiciary dealt with are tax redemptions, claims against the city, citizen petitions, and the like.
