Abstract:

Record of real and personal property assessments gathered for tax collection purposes, usually including name of owner; description of property; assessed valuation; and taxes levied.

Note:

Biron was incorporated in 1910, but the WHS only holds Wood County tax rolls up to 1900. Therefore, all available years from 1911-1945 were kept in this series. Assessment rolls for 1912-1914, 1922-1924, 1926-1929, 1931-1934, 1936-1939, 1941-1944 were deaccessioned. The series was reappraised and every fifth year was retained, as is the WHS collection policy for tax and assessment rolls after 1900.
