Scope and Content Note

The collection includes an order signed by Louis XVI in 1792; a letter signed by Tallyrand; a report by Ricardo Orozco on a visit to the tunnel of Nochistongo in Mexico City in 1880; a letter by Cardinal Gibbons, 1889; a sketch of General George G. Meade by General John Pope; a collection of autograph signatures of women prominent in Washington about 1890; and a roster of GAR posts with memoranda dated 1888 and 1889.
