Abstract:
Microfilmed indexes to names of grantors (sellers) and grantees (purchasers) of warranty, quit claim, and other deeds and of government land patents for land located in Waukesha County. Volume A indexes transactions which were recorded in Milwaukee County and/or patents granted by the United States General Land Office in Milwaukee, 1839-1855. Other volumes are for transactions recorded with the Waukesha County Register of Deeds.

Arrangement of the Materials

In unspecified chronological segments. Within each volume are two separate indexes, one for grantors and one for grantees. Within each index, arrangement is in alphabetical segments by first letter of surname and thereunder in order by appearance in the deed volumes. Vols. 4 and 5 have many exceptions to this order however.
