Abstract:
Films by Gilmar Johnson, a farmer and steam tractor enthusiast from Frederic, Wisconsin. The films are compiled footage that document home, farm, and community life mainly in Polk, Burnett, and Barron Counties. Footage includes the daily routine of farm activities in rural Minnesota and Wisconsin and a range of activities in small-town communities including picnics, parades, farm auctions, and various sports activities. All footage is color and silent.
