Abstract:

Background and situation reports and national press surveys, 1966-1974, from the Area Research Departments and audience studies, 1965-1976, from the Audience and Public Opinion Department prepared for the use of Radio Free Europe's editors and policy staff. The two types of reports are arranged chronologically and are preceded by periodic indexes to the Area Departments' reports. These indexes consist of monthly and quarterly summaries by nation concerned and quarterly chronological and subject lists. The miscellany includes some early promotional material.
