Abstract:
Reports of special projects by the Bureau of Agrichemical Management staff under authority found in 93.06(1)(f), 93.07(9), and 94.69(10), Wis. Stats., on pesticides in groundwater or on pesticide use issues. Included are results, correspondence, and sometimes site inspection information, narratives, photos, statistical analyses, records of pesticide use, and registration information for the pesticide products being studied.

Scope and Content Note: Records, 1982-2000, related to the Agricultural Resource Management Division's efforts to monitor pesticide use in Wisconsin. Records of the Pesticide Database Advisory Committee relate to a requirement of Assembly Bill, 1999 Wisconsin Act 9, to develop a proposal for a Wisconsin pesticide sales and use reporting database. Records include reports, correspondence and meeting minutes from the DATCP Pesticide Database Advisory Committee, community inputs, and background material used in preparing the proposal. There are also records related to the use of aldicarb, the active ingredient in the pesticide Temik. Material includes Administrative Rule revisions, newspaper clippings, information about intended use, and several research reports about aldicarb. Cranberry study material relates to the use of pesticides in the cranberry industry including a 1987 observational study. There is also material related to the Big Sissabagama Lake Shareowners, a group concerned with runoff from cranberry bogs near their property.
