Abstract:
The Acid Deposition Research Program of the Division of State Energy was created by the 1985 Wisconsin Act 296, Section 2, 15347(2) Stats., to recommend objectives for acid deposition research in Wisconsin, recommend types and priorities for acid deposition research, evaluate mechanisms for funding and recommend funding levels, and review all research reports relating to acid deposition and sulphur dioxide emissions submitted to the Acid Deposition Research Council. The program files consist of annual reports, sulphur dioxide emission limitation plans, annual assessments, working papers, studies, and legislation.

Draft final report of Division of State Energy and Coastal Management, sulfur dioxide emission reduction cost study
Scope and Content Note: Final draft of the sulfur dioxide emission reduction cost study prepared by the Wisconsin Division of State Energy and Coastal Management. The study was published in 1985 and contains six parts: Introduction, Final DSECM 1995 Coal Price Forecasts, DSECM Alternate Coal Data Base, Alternative Coal Purchasing Mechanisms, Availability of Low Sulfur Coal, and a Conclusion. The study was directed by the Wisconsin legislature for the purpose of the study is to determine the costs of reducing emissions by 30 to 70 percent. The study examines the cost of emission reduction at large SO2 emission sources.
