These programs include County Administration, Energy Assistance, the Jobs program, Relief to Needy Indian Persons, Wisconsin Cares, Income Maintenance, Computer Reporting Network, Medical Assistance, Food Stamps, Aid to Families with Dependent Children, and Child Support.

Series 2842	Part 1 (Series 2842): Original Collection, 1949-1999 Physical Description: 9.4 cubic feet (9 records center cartons and 1 archives box) and 8 reels of microfilm (16 mm)  Scope and Content Note Manuals and related policy histories, mainly 1975-1993, maintained in the Division of Economic Support as a reference and regulatory library for the various economic support programs it administered. The manuals are constantly revised, and changes are transmitted to manual holders as chronologically numbered releases. The releases update and replace specific sections of the existing manual, but not the entire manual. Thus, at any particular time, the manual consists of releases issued over several years. The release date generally appears in the upper left hand corner of each page. In 1992 the majority of existing manuals were microfilmed by the division. Those manuals are available for research in the Archives only as microfilm. All of the post-1992 manuals and some miscellaneous earlier manuals are only available as paper. The manuals were microfilmed by the division in chronological order by release number, and the Archives has followed the same arrangement scheme for the paper records. Additionally, a few 1993 manuals were filmed by the division to provide a snap shot of all policies in effect for that year. Manuals for Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC), the Computer Reporting Network (CRN), Food Stamps, Income Maintenance, and Medical Assistance programs are most extensively documented. Other programs include County Administration, Energy Assistance, the Jobs program, and Relief to Needy Indian Persons. Additionally, the Wisconsin Cares program is represented by an extensive programming manual. Material on W-2 is limited. Arrangement of the Materials: Alphabetical by program type and chronological thereunder. The microfilm is filmed without counter numbers.
