Abstract:
Incoming correspondence from Wisconsin volunteers in the Civil War, various posts of the Grand Army of the Republica, pension agents, and relatives of ex-soldiers about the record of men who served during the Civil War. Most letters are requests for the certificate of service that was necessary in order to receive a pension. The series includes an alphabetical name index for correspondence from 1882 to 1884.
