Abstract:
Decisions rendered by the State Superintendent on appeals from decisions of local school authorities. Included are appeals from decisions of school district meetings or school boards; appeals from actions of town superintendents of schools or town boards of supervisors relating to school district boundaries; and appeals from county superintendents' annulment or refusal to grant teaching certificates. Some decisions relate to appeals concerning separation of church and state. No records exist for 1856-1858 and 1864-1873.
