Letters received and some copies of letters sent relating to purchase of state lands, state banks, taxes, license fees, and fines collected by counties for the state; bounties; salaries; fire insurance companies' statements of taxable receipts; earnings of railway companies; corporation income taxes; inheritance taxes; trust funds; securities; school district, city, town, village, and county bond issues; retirement fund assessments; transaction of business between the state and federal governments; state agencies; state printing; lumber and boom companies; and numerous administrative matters not otherwise classifiable.
