Abstract:
Primarily case files of mothers or guardians receiving aid from the Sawyer County Department of Public Welfare for their minor children. Content of the files typically includes an application for aid, face sheets containing factual information about the applicant and the family, and a notice of award. Files may include an account of case worker's home visits and other information. One old age assistance file is included in this series. The cases of Native Americans were filed separately and given the file designation “CW.” The years indicated in the list below are the years in which the cases were opened.
