Abstract:

Record of documents filed, actions taken, hearings held, and judgments issued in probate proceedings. Also serves as a record book for other types of court actions. Entries give the name of the deceased individual, lists documents filed, date filed, and volume and page number of related entry in the Minute Book (not in archival custody). Some volumes include the original box number of the case files (not the crossed out box number). Volumes D and E (1897-1913) include separate sections for other actions of the court: Certificate of Qualification of Surety Company, Reports of Superintendent of Industrial Schools, Child Labor Permits, Orders Permitting Marriage, Register of Orders or Certificates Issued, List of Physicians Qualified to Examine the Insane, and Bonds Filed in Court for Commissioners of the Soldiers Relief Commission.

Child Labor Permits include date of filing, box number of case file, name of person permit granted to, date and place of birth, place of school, time attended at school, and parent's name. Orders Permitting Marriage give date of filing, box number of case file, names of bride and groom. Register of Orders or Certificates Issued gives date of issue, number of order, name of deceased person's estate being administered, administrator's name, amount paid to administrator. List of Physicians Qualified to Examine Insane gives date of filing, physician's name, residence, date and name of medical school graduated from, box number of case file, and reference to minute book entry. Bonds Filed in Court for Commissioners of the Soldiers Relief Commission give the name of commission and date of filing.
