Abstract:

Records consisting of orders determining inheritance tax as prescribed by the Tax Commission. Volumes 2-8 are divided into two sections: 1) orders determining inheritance tax including name of deceased, date of court hearing, value of real and personal property, deductions, names of heirs or legatees, relationship to the deceased, distribution of estate, tax exemptions, tax rate, and amount of tax; and 2) orders finding no tax due including name of deceased, petitioner, and date of order. Volume 1 is titled Tax on Legacies and entries also include the original box number of the case file, date and place of death, and residence of legatees and devisees.
