Scope and Content Note: Photographs, circa 1876-1919, primarily of members of the Cowles and Lee families, including a scrapbook of photographs, watercolors and text, "A Story of Ingleside," the Cowles family cottage at Lake Ripley, Cambridge, Wisconsin, written by Edward Bowen Springer and dedicated to Miss Kilbourne Cowles. Family photographs include a portrait of Byron K. Cowles, who served as a captain in the Civil War, in his uniform; and views of the J.O. Lee residence in Rockford, Illinois. Other materials include ephemera, U.S. and overseas vacation photographs, and a plat map of Ingleside.
