Photographs of trains, depots, shops, roundhouses, bridges, track, personnel, wrecks, and railroad construction projects, collected by Roy Martin, circa 1871-1948. The photographs are primarily related to the Wisconsin Central and Chicago, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie railroads.

Marie Railway bridge over the St. Croix River near Stillwater, Minnesota, built by the American Bridge Company, 1911 Note: Included are images of the dismantling of an 1884 bridge, road grading, steel girders being hoisted in place by a crane, and laying of the railroad track.
