Abstract:

Records of the First Congregational Church, organized in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1841, including minutes of the annual meetings of the congregation and meetings of the trustees and the Congregational Society, which was responsible for the secular affairs of the church. Meetings on receiving and dismissing members, pastoral relations, and other church matters are also documented. Constitutions, financial information, and lists of members are scattered throughout.
