Scope and Content Note

The records of the Madison Chapter of the American Association of University Women (also known as the College Women's Club) consist of eight volumes and one folder in a box. Seven of the volumes are scrapbooks, 1935-1953, which are concerned mainly with the activities of the chapter. Volume 8 is a ledger, 1923-1934, and the folder contains publicity materials, 1942-1945, primarily press releases.

The scrapbooks are chiefly composed of newspaper clippings regarding the events and programs of the group. Most also contain monthly bulletins announcing and describing activities. Their arrangement is chronological. The ledger contains entries for cash received and disbursed, treasury credits, membership dues, and cash gifts.
