Abstract:

Correspondence, record books, deeds, indentures, and mortgages of Albert Alden, the first sheriff of Waukesha County, Wisconsin. Also includes an extract with translation of Pierre Sonnerat's 1782 book Voyage aux indes Orientales et a la Chine, and genealogical materials on the Alden and Brewster families, especially James Alden who became an admiral in the Civil War.
