Biography/History
Anna Pratt Erickson was born April 14, 1883 in Hanover Township, Jo Daviess County, Illinois. Her parents were Samuel Clark Pratt (1834-1893) and Caroline Malinda Albin (1847-1923). Following Anna's marriage to Conrad Erickson on May 4, 1904, she moved to a farm near Athens, Wisconsin, which she continued to operate after her husband's death in 1917. In 1922, she married Joseph Mauritz, a local farmer, from whom she was separated or divorced in 1926. By her first marriage, Mrs. Erickson had five children, Orma, Dorothy, Faye, Lois, and Morris. The only child of her second marriage died shortly after its birth in 1924. Mrs. Erickson died November 17, 1959.
