Biography/History

The Lemonweir Lutheran Church was founded July 24, 1854, near New Lisbon, Wisconsin, in what was then Adams County. In 1873, the church split into the East Lemonweir Church at New Lisbon and the West Lemonweir Chruch at Elroy. However, both churches were served by the same pastors, one of whom was B. Hovde, 1871-1875.
