Papers of Morris Carey, a local historian from Amherst, Wisconsin, including miscellaneous materials relating to the history of Amherst and to the genealogy of pioneer families of Portage County. “Diaries” include discussion of town churches, the business district, and community life. Asa H. Bancroft and Dr. Thomas M. Clark are referred to as prominent Amherst citizens.
