Papers of Sam Pope Brewer, a news correspondent for the Chicago Tribune (through World War II) and the New York Times (after World War II) with assignments in Europe, the Middle East, South America, and the United Nations. The material, circa 1900-1976, consists of correspondence, clippings (many with Brewer by-lines), diaries and notebooks covering his entire career, news cables/dispatches, films, records of personal finances, and portfolios regarding areas of assignment.
