Abstract:
Catalogs, pamphlets, postcards, flyers, posters, and other advertising literature produced by over two hundred different agricultural equipment companies, primarily in the nineteenth century. The companies were competitors of the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and later, the International Harvester Company. The McCormick and International Harvester companies collected some of the advertising literature in order to monitor their competitors. In addition, items may have been added over the years by the McCormick Collection archivists, or separated from other collections. Advertisements primarily feature farm implements, including reapers, grain binders, and mowers.

Note:

Forms part of the McCormick Collection.
