Abstract:
Papers of Maggi Cage, former owner of the Fox Valley Reproductive Health Care Center in Appleton, Wisconsin, documenting the work of the center as well as Cage’s involvement in the reproductive choice movement in the Fox Valley. In addition, the papers include materials concerning First Amendment issues and the pro-choice movement.

Scope and Content Note

Records concerning the Fox Valley Reproductive Health Care Center clinic include advertising, training materials, policy manuals, letters of support, materials for an audio-visual production on pregnancy termination, information on abortion and birth control, depositions made before the State of Wisconsin Patients Compensation Panel which include information about the operation of the clinic, clinic licensing information, and scrapbooks of clippings, plus additional clippings covering the history of the clinic and the reproductive rights/right-to-life movement in the Fox Valley. The collection also includes speeches made by Cage, awards, photographs of the interior of the clinic and of colleagues, a tape recorded radio spot, a videotaped television program, materials concerning a group of abortion providers known as the November Gang, and various publications concerning political strategies.
