Abstract:
Print and near-print materials reflecting the activities of the Madison, Wisconsin chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR), a non-profit organization committed to public and professional education on the medical hazards of nuclear weaponry. Included are flyers, newsletters, statements, member mailings, clippings, posters, fact sheets, brochures, and pamphlets, some items relating to other organizations with similar interests. Of note is information about the 1991 “Guns or Butter” resolution introduced in the Wisconsin Assembly; material about the group's response to the Persian Gulf War; and material on the October 1983 Symposium held in Madison on the medical consequences of nuclear war. The symposium is also documented on videotape. In addition, there are videos of the series Nuclear Vision hosted by Dr. Zorba Paster, as well as several miscellaneous tapes of speakers and programs.
