Abstract:

Survey and research materials, 1963-1967, collected by Walter Rundell for his book In Pursuit of History: Research and Training in the United States (Norman: University of Oklahoma Press, 1970). The survey, sponsored by the National Historical Publications Commission, collected information on the use of original sources in graduate history training. Also included are correspondence, information regarding visits to various educational institutions, transcripts of interviews with graduate students, professors, librarians and archivists, questionnaires, and notes.
