|
Series: Press and Publicity, 1959-1990 : Press clippings covering election campaigns can be found here and in the Campaign series. Press releases are scattered throughout the collection and may be duplicative, the bulk 1959-1976 and 1978-1990 can be found in Box 92 through 96; 1977 through 1981 are in Box 10; 1962 through 1965 are in the general files under the corresponding year. Also included are speeches for 1965-1966; additional speeches are interfiled throughout the collection and are not comprehensive.

Series: Committee Files, 1959-1990 : The Committee Files are mainly Kastenmeier's working files for the Judiciary Committee and for those Subcommittees for which he was a member. There are some files related to his work on the Interior and Insular Affairs Committee as well. Some of the files are arranged by Congress and then by subject or legislation name. Towards the end of this series there is another run of material primarily related to Kastenmeier's role of Chairman on the Subcommittee on Courts, Civil Liberties, and the Administration of Justice that is not arranged by date, but by subject or name of legislation, and overlaps with the files arranged by Congress.
