Abstract:
Papers of Elmer L. Winter who, with law partner Aaron Scheinfeld, founded Manpower Inc., a temporary employment agency founded in 1948. The bulk of the collection, however, relates to his work with the Committee for Economic Growth of Israel (CEG-I) which he established in 1976 with the goal of expanding trade relations between Israel and the United States. The papers consist principally of the bulletins put out by CEG-I promoting business and trade opportunities between the United States and Israel. Also included is a brief biography of Winter, history of Manpower Inc., speeches, and CEG-I meeting minutes.
