Scope and Content Note

Research materials include Scott Seyforth's class syllabus and description, DVDs, and photographs. The photographs record class trips to Madison, Detroit, Washington, D.C., and New York City, where they interviewed key leaders in the LGBTQ civil rights movement and visited historic sites. Also photographed is the class recreation of a 1965 gay rights march. The DVDs consist of video taped oral history interviews with key leaders in the movement as well as panels that discuss the positive and negative changes in civil rights for the LGBTQ community from the 1960s through the 1990s.
