Abstract:

Records of a Madison (Wisconsin) social club for widows and widowers, documenting the activities of the group, including its 25th reunion celebration in 1992. Interviews with founders Irene Hendrickson, Megan Thorstad, and George Lundun are included on videotape and cassette (Hendrickson).

The records include chronological files consisting of newsletters, correspondence, meeting minutes, treasurer's reports, membership lists, event fliers and planning information. Also included are photo albums depicting Halloween parties, picnics, the 1992 25th reunion, and other informal gatherings. One of the videotapes includes interviews with founders Irene Hendrickson, Megan Thorstad, and George Lundun; the other two tapes document informal events and board meetings (1989-1992). The sound recording contains an interview with Irene Hendrickson.
