Abstract:

Records of the Ice Age Park and Trail Foundation, an organization composed primarily of volunteers committed to maintaining and expanding the 1,000 plus miles of Wisconsin's Ice Age Trail. The collection documents the years during which John Zillmer served on the board of directors for the Foundation and includes financial records (including fundraising endeavors), land acquisition attempts, meeting minutes, news articles, and correspondence. There are also subject files for people who were especially interested and involved in the foundation, such as Senator Bob Kasten, Pat Miller, Gary Werner, and former Wisconsin representative Henry Reuss. Also documented is the 1990 merger between the Foundation and the Ice Age Trail Council.
