Abstract:
Records of the Wisconsin Association of Historic Preservation Commissions (WAHPC), 1984-2008, founded in 1985 to provide information and training to local commissions through workshops and annual conferences. The records document the annual spring and fall conferences, held throughout various cities throughout Wisconsin, and consist of board meeting materials, correspondence, financial records, membership records, and photographs.

Scope and Content Note: Additions, 2006-2008, consisting of correspondence and 2008 membership applications. The correspondence includes letters pertaining to the WAHPC 2008 annual meeting in Cedarburg. Also included are news articles and photographs related to Fond du Lac residents' efforts to save the St. Louis Catholic Church, which was later destroyed by fire in March 2007; the church's cross was salvaged and preserved through the efforts of the WAHPC.
