Papers, 1908-2005 (bulk 1929-1993), of longtime Milwaukee (Wisconsin) school teacher Margarete Bohle. She attended the Milwaukee Normal School and Milwaukee State Teacher's College and received an M.A. in education from Marquette University in 1941. The papers document her teaching career, personal life, and travels.

Scope and Content Note
The papers consist of correspondence, journals and other writings, school papers and certificates, scrapbooks, and photographs. Bohle's journals include a daily journal (1987-1992) consisting of brief entries about the weather, activities, and occasional opinions on current events, and a travel journal (1939-1953) describing her trips to New York, Yellowstone, the Smoky Mountains, etc. The scrapbooks consist of a school scrapbook (1929) with programs, tickets, letters, and other memorabilia and a travel scrapbook (1930s) which contains brochures, postcards, clippings, etc. The photographs are of Bohle, her family and family home, and friends.
