Abstract:
Papers of Russell Jones, a foreign correspondent best known for his reporting on the Hungarian Revolt of 1956 for which he won a Pulitzer Prize. The papers consist of biographical information, correspondence, and articles by and about Jones. The majority of the collection is composed of articles by Jones regarding the revolt in Hungary during which time he was the only Western reporter in Budapest. The photographs depict Jones as a youth and reporting on various foreign conflicts including World War II.
