Abstract:
Record books of Charles Ringle of the Town of Herman, Dodge County, Wisconsin. In 1865, Ringle began a mercantile business in Herman, was made postmaster in 1866, and also held several town offices. This collection mainly contains the record books documenting Ringle’s mercantile business, including day books (1868-1932) and account books (1865-1926). Also included is Ringle’s personal account book (1874-1876), a Postmaster’s Account and Record Book (1895-1899) and a ledger from School District No. 5, Town of Herman, dated July 1854.
