Scope and Content Note

The papers consist of family correspondence and correspondence about Christian Colony in Florida; First Wisconsin Cavalry Association directories (1921, 1928-1929); clippings including the obituary of Jessie Hawley Dodds; and autograph books belonging to Jessie Hawley Dodds (1880s-1890s). The photographs contain views of Poy Sippi and the surrounding area, portraits and snapshots of the Hawley and Dodds families, portraits and snapshots of Poy Sippi residents, and photographs and clippings from “Randall Park,” a GI family housing facility on the Camp Randall grounds at UW-Madison in the late 1940s.
