Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of 7 episodes from the hour-long drama program Dallas, which aired on CBS from 1978 to 1991. The series told the story of the Ewing family, who controlled an oil company in Texas. Stories revolved around the power struggles within the family and a long-term rivalry with another family-run oil business.

While approximately 357 episodes of Dallas aired during its fourteen-season run, this collection contains only 7 of the original episodes from the eight and ninth seasons. All the reels in this collection are 16 mm color prints with sound and have a running time of approximately 50 to 60 minutes. The visual quality of these prints is generally good although the quality differs between individual reels with several of the prints showing visible signs of deterioration.
